NACE Rev. 2.1 is a classification for statistical purposes. A code describes an activity so that statistics can be compared. A code by itself does not grant a licence, set a tax rate, decide employment status, or decide eligibility for funding or a collective agreement. A reader who needs to know the code held for a specific business should confirm it with the national statistical institute or the business register that holds the record.
This site does not guarantee that a code shown in a guide matches the entry held for any specific business. Correspondence tables show how activities move between versions of the classification, and a mapping that shows a split does not guarantee a single new code for an old code.
Dates on this site are labelled FIXED or EXPECTED, as described in the editorial policy. A FIXED date is a date in force, a date applying, or a date on a published timetable. An EXPECTED date is a proposal, a target, a consultation date, or an expectation that has not been fixed. Primary sources can change, and a guide is updated with a new updated date when its content changes.
